Inspired by the riding straight from Hope’s factory doors, the route criss-crosses the border between Lancashire and Yorkshire. Taking in fantastic scenery and showcasing our local tracks, trails, bridleways and backroads.
Over the years this area has been the test bed for many Hope products, and today these lanes and trails are the ones that many Hope Technology employees ride and train on a day-to-day basis.
This year, to include some friendly competition, we’re adding to the Mastiles Lane Hill Climb with two new super special stages along the way. This is your opportunity to test yourself against the clock, and your friends, to be in with a chance of winning some Hope goodies.
Riders will have the choice of whether to tackle to the route on a Gravel, CX or mountain bike – all will have their pros and cons.
The Long Route is 102kms in length with approx. 2,000m of ascent
The Short Route is 90kms in length with approx. 1,790m of ascent.
The fastest riders should take around 4½ hours on the long route and around 4 hours on the short.
Provision of GPX files, waterproof maps and fully signed route
Well-stocked feed stations
Electronic chip timing
Custom Hope made medal for every finisher
Rider numbers will be limited to a maximum of 500. It is envisaged that as well as top level riders from all over the UK the event will attract many local riders.
